After a lightning strike caused severe fire damage, our client came to us looking for help to bring her home back to life. At the same time, she decided to use this opportunity to add to the house, improving functionality and her quality of life. The 500+ sq. ft. addition includes a sizable primary suite, a new kitchen, and a garage to help with those long, cold New England winters.

Nestled in the woods of New Hampshire, the home was designed to match the outdoor environment. Rustic design emphasizes natural and weathered finishes. Picture open fires, wood accents, and comfortable furnishings; this style is all about creating a relaxed and organic vibe that is also functionally rugged.

To create our client’s dream home, we added an additional 500 sq. ft. to the original home. The new addition houses an expanded kitchen, primary suite, and garage. Initially built by the homeowners, the home included a small galley kitchen and three bedrooms for the family. With the future in mind, the addition expands the kitchen for multiple users and features a large, private primary suite flanked with large windows and decorated with raw fir beams, plus a one-car garage attached by a new mudroom.

While considered an addition project, our team also had a hand updating nearly every inch of the rest of the home. Outside of the addition, we replaced the hardwood flooring on each level, provided new Andersen windows, plus stain-grade interior doors and trim, installed tile in each entryway, updated each bathroom and laundry room, painted every room and the exterior, and upgraded the home’s HVAC system with wall-mounted cassettes.
