New England Colonial Refresh

This New England Colonial functioned well for our clients, however, it was time for a refresh. While the original footprint of the kitchen and bathrooms remained the same, we updated every inch of each space – completely rejuvenating the ’90s home.

In the kitchen, we installed white Shaker-style cabinets and quartzite countertops. Other features include brass fixtures, updated stainless-steel appliances, and glass panes to display dinnerware. In the foyer, modern and traditional features blended together through the addition of a decorative picture frame wainscoting and chair rail along the staircase and a glossy-black finish applied to the handrail. The bathrooms all received new tile flooring along with updated plumbing fixtures and accessories, with the first-floor powder room receiving decorative porcelain tile and an updated pedestal sink and toilet. The second-floor bathrooms were fitted with custom vanities with additional storage space and quartz vanity tops for durability. In the master bathroom, a coat of light blue paint was added to brighten and expand the space – complimenting the glossy tile wainscoting and floor. To complete the bathroom, a freestanding tub with an ergonomic design and a massive walk-in shower with a hand-held fixture, stone bench, and full-length niche were installed.
