REMODEL

City-dwellers turned suburbanites; our clients longed for the former contemporary spaces they left behind in Boston. While in a desirable location, their interior amenities were less than desirable and did not fit our client’s needs. We expanded and relocated the kitchen to provide a high-end chef-inspired environment with clean lines and angles. We also upgraded their living room and powder room to streamline the modern design throughout the first floor.

Defined by flat surfaces, clean lines, and minimalistic design, modern living promotes simplicity while never compromising functionality. Think consistent reveals, flush planes of sight through full overlay cabinetry, hidden amenities, and monochromatic color palettes. Additionally, modern living incorporates high ceilings, waterfall countertops, and clever built-in organizational details.

Modern kitchens often incorporate reflective material for added brilliance and statement. Our clients selected a polished, bright-white RAUVISIO crystal acrylic laminate to finish the surface of the cabinets. The cabinets are highly reflective, sleek, and have reduced sensitivity to impact and scratching.

Another element of modern living is clean lines throughout each space. We designed the kitchen to have the same reveal throughout, maintaining clean horizontal and vertical lines. Additionally, we installed a continuous Fry Reglet F-reveal along all interior trim and doors, marrying the reveal to the kitchen, dining room, hallway, living room, and entryway.
