Located on a historic road in the Old Town village of Newbury, our clients wanted to upgrade their backyard to match the grandness of the estate. Opposite the new infinity pool stands a 1,200 square foot great room addition flooded with natural light that brings the indoors outside. This addition is the perfect solution for year-round outdoor entertainment and relaxation.

The 1,200-square-foot addition includes cathedral ceilings and 14 skylights, adding a grand open space to the historic home. Bluestone floors, cathedral height stone fireplace, radiant heat floors, custom arched window, and crown molding with uplighting provide added luxury.

We installed Marvin bi-fold doors to expand the great room addition to the outdoor entertainment area. The horizontal mobility of the doors easily allows the interior and exterior to flow seamlessly between the two spaces.

A custom cedar pool house sits adjacent to the patio’s infinity pool. The pool house finished in red cedar clapboards, and copper flashing offers an additional outdoor space complete with a full bathroom, wet bar, and 100 sq. ft. sauna.
