BLB Design \ Build is committed to delivering excellence throughout each and every stage of its building process. Through both residential and commercial projects ranging from renovations to complete builds, BLB has become the premier builder of choice throughout the Greater Newburyport community and Boston suburbs. With a crew comprised of master craftsmen, BLB team members are held to the highest of standards which demands perfection and attention to detail for each project.

General Contractor and Owner Ben Becker had this to say regarding the Gold Award, “We are very excited to have received our first CotY award. It’s truly an honor to be recognized by peers and industry leaders alike.”

A custom laundry space was collaboratively designed and built as a specialty interior feature to create a functional space in a small underutilized hallway. This provided a first-floor laundry solution centrally located between the bathroom and kitchen spaces. Its design choices are seamlessly integrated throughout the space while concealing the appliances to visually mask its unique function.

BLB Design \ Build was presented the CotY Award at EM NARI’s Evening of Excellence event on Wednesday, May 1st at the Clarke Showroom in Milford, MA.  This year, there were 80 projects submitted for CotY Awards across seventeen categories. A panel of twelve independent reviewers judged the project entries in a blind evaluation. Projects were judged on a 70 point scale with points awarded for how well the project met the client’s needs and enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of the space, innovative uses of materials and methods, the ability to overcome obstacles creatively, the craftsmanship displayed in the work, and the presentation of the project.
